Pirates Win National League Central Division Crown Sunday, September 25th , 2016 Kent Tekulve of the Pittsburgh Pirates said it would "mean so much" to the city if they could bring home a championship. The club has taken an important first step, clinching the National League Central Division. "The city is hungry for a winner and for a team they can get behind. I think we're that team," he said. "It's time to bring a League Series to Pittsburgh." It's the club's 2nd division title. "We may not be the most experienced playoff team, but we've got a lot of heart," the reliever said. |
